A major drawing competition has been launched for children aged 6 to 12 by the NGO Planète Urgence to pay tribute to forests around the world!

It took place from September 3 to October 17 inclusive.

Who is launching the challenge?

The “Draw me your forest” competition is organized by Planète Urgence as part of the pivotal year 2021 in terms of environmental preservation and biodiversity. The association wanted to give everyone the opportunity to give free rein to their imagination and design the forest of their dreams…

Full of joy, filled with colors and animals or even weakened by the hand of man: what if our children showed us what they think of these ecosystems essential to our lives?

“Draw me your forest”

“Draw me your forest” is the theme of the association’s first competition. The aim is to address the environmental issue and raise awareness among children about the importance of preserving the forest ecosystems that are essential to our lives. The theme thus suggests a great deal of freedom for the children’s creativity. Drawings with coloured pencils, felt pens, using paint… anything is allowed!

The competition is open from 3 September to 17 October inclusive, to all children aged 6 to 12 of French nationality and to children from Planète Urgence’s partner schools in its various countries of intervention, such as Benin, Madagascar and Indonesia.

A competition also deployed at the IUCN World Conservation Congress

At the same time, Planète Urgence will be offering this competition at its space dedicated to the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Marseille, on 10 and 11 September. The young visitors will have the opportunity to come closer to the association, see the projects and draw the forest of their dreams on the spot!
