The Planète Urgence delegation in Cambodia
Even though 2/3 of the country is covered by tropical forest, the latter remains under serious threat from deforestation. Present in Cambodia since 2013 and led by Apollinaire Leheutre, the national delegation works with our local partners, in particular through the deployment of our volunteering schemes and, more broadly, by supporting the capacity-building of local CSOs working in the field of environmental protection.

Volunteering in Cambodia
Cambodia is one of Planète Urgence’s 15 countries of intervention for international volunteering.
Many local associations are asking for capacity-building for their beneficiaries, particularly in adult training and organisational structuring.
One of them testifies:
“Thanks to the collaboration between AGRISUD and Planète Urgence, farmers in the Siem Reap region are better at promoting agricultural products and specialising in sales channels. As a result, they are selling more and their incomes have risen significantly and sustainably”
Pheareak CHINH, Director of the Agroecological Intensification Project.
