Project ECOZZAP – Cambodia<\/h3>\n

Active project<\/p>\n

A zoonosis is a disease or infection that is naturally transmissible from vertebrate animals to humans. Today, it is estimated that 60% of emerging infectious diseases in humans are zoonoses.<\/p>\n

In Cambodia, rural households are more exposed to the risk of infection by zoonoses, particularly in areas where deforestation is significant and rapid. However, despite their vulnerability, communities are often unaware of the risks and maintain dangerous practices.<\/p>\n

Although local organisations are working to educate farmers and families about public health issues, they often lack the knowledge and support to communicate effectively about the risks of these diseases.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
